Insanity is Over

I would try and write something ridiculously long here to try and express my happiness - but I'm frankly exhausted.

Instead, I'm going to shut up and let you read another excerpt. XD

Excerpt of the Week:

“Again, you continue to amaze me,” he confessed, and as my gaze travelled over his face, his expression still hadn’t completely returned to the serene and calm demeanour that he usually acquired.

“Well, I may be ignorant to your brilliance, but I’m certainly not ignorant to my own.” I stated self-assuredly, and his eyebrows rose in curiosity.

“Is that so?” he laughed quietly, the left side of his mouth pulling upwards into a lopsided grin.

“It seems that I’m not the only overconfident one at the table.”

“It’s not overconfidence. It’s just stating the obvious.”

He pursed his lips as he leaned closer on the table towards me. “Do you have an answer to everything I say Miss Dawson?”

“Why?” I questioned, using his own words from yesterday against him. “Are you having second thoughts?”

He laughed in reply, his shoulders shaking at the gesture as sat back in the chair, no longer inclining himself towards me. His eyes appraised me for a moment, and his head tilted to the right slightly as he crossed his arms loosely over his chest.

“Will you go out for dinner with me tomorrow night?”

I smiled coyly. “On the condition that you stop trying to convince me of this brilliance that is supposed to exist.”
